Postcard from the Alps
Ever fancied a holiday in the Alps?
Year 6 have been writing postcards home, imagining they were holidaying in the Alps. their task was to describe the physical landscape in a creative way.

Year 2 - Lighthouses
Year 2have been learning all about lighthouses. They have even made their own fantastic 3D model lighthouses. They then wrote out instructions on how they made them, remembering to include all the key features of an instructional text.
Year 2 Transition Project- The BFG
As part of a transition week for Year 2 pupils moving it Year 6 pupils studied the fascinating world of Roald Dahl's The BFG. This transition project gave pupils to the opportunity to be creative writers combing art and reading together.

Year 5 welcomes you to Baghdad c900.
Year 5 have been learning about life in Baghdad at the time
of the development of early Islamic Civilization. Pupils extended their knowledge about what
life was like in Baghdad c. 900. Each
child wrote a letter to a friend about life in the city as it was lived at that
time, ensuring that they included historically accurate details. To make the letters look authentic, the
children stained paper to make it look as if it hadn’t been seen for over a
thousand years.
