The Demon Headmaster...
The book I have been reading is called ' The Demon Headmaster ' by Gillian Cross. It is about a school but no ordinary school. ...When you think about a school, you think about a balanced ratio of fun and learning. But this school is no fun, just plain learning and obeying. It is about a girl called Dinah Glass and her two brothers called Harvey and Lloyd. They fight over what school she should go to but she finally decides on this school.... She realises something is off when she enters the school. Everything is silent and very tidy. When she goes to see the headmaster, he turns around and reveals that he can hypnotize the students to do his bidding...
This week's reader comes from Year 6...
I really enjoyed the book because it was really funny and I loved the illustrations. In one of the illustrations David Baddiel was in the crowd at a football match! My favourite characters are Ellie and Fred because first they were geeks and they are now the coolest kids at school!

Y6 The Robe of skulls
Year 6 have been reading Vivien French's exciting novel... The Kingdom of Skulls.
Pupils have been studying character development within the story and have written character descriptions based on their inference and deduction skills. Pupils have also used their own illustrations to really bring the characters to life!
